At L&M Manufacturing we pride ourselves in Quality and Service, which we display on our Company Logo and dedication to do whatever it takes to meet our customers needs no matter how demanding and we have been doing just that for over 30 years. At L&M we view our customers as partners. L&M was founded in 1983 by the late Everett Nunley. Mr. Nunley was a tool maker by trade who moved here from Michigan with his company that he was President of at the time, Handy Things. Later Mr. Nunley had the vision to start his own company L&M Manufacturing which he started out of his garage. In 2001 I had the fortune to meet Mr. Nunley and develop a business relationship and friendship. I purchased the company from Mr. Nunley in February of 2003 and formed the Corporation T&T Manufacturing, named after my 2 children Tyler and Tori Travers. We also received our ISO registration in 2003. Realizing the value of the name we have continued to do business as L&M Manufacturing, with the corporate name of T&T Manufacturing.
I purchased the company in February of 2003. I have an undergraduate degree in Manufacturing Engineering and my Masters in Business Management which I achieved working full time as an Industrial Engineer. My first job in manufacturing was in college as a production scheduler in 1992. I worked and was a division 1 baseball player while completing my degree. After graduation in 1993 I worked in manufacturing as a manufacturing engineering and engineering manager in various manufacturing facilities gaining a wide range of manufacturing technologies until I purchased L&M in 2003. Since taking ownership we have been able to more than triple our sales while decreasing labor.
Robert has been with the company for over 15 years. He worked as a quality control engineer as he worked his way through school. He has made several changes as the quality manager and we expect many more good things to come.
Eula has been with the company for over 30 years! She worked under the management of Everett Nunley before it was purchased by Darrin Travers. Eula has been a pinnacle to this company and will be around for a long time to come.
Steve has been with the company for over 20 years. He is a tool and die maker by trade. Steve oversees the duties and assignments of all the production workers as well as troubleshooting of any problems in production.
Darrin was featured on the July 2008 semoball.com story
~ "One of the main things (in sports) is discipline and focus and what it takes to get the job done," Travers said. "In business, you have to put in time and dedication and it takes hard work to be successful. It is the same thing in basketball, baseball or football."
Although Travers is proud of his accomplishments to this point, he is always looking for ways to improve.
"You never really can be satisfied," Travers said. "When you become complacent, you are afraid something will come along and ruin it. You are either moving forward or backward, there is no way to sit still."See The Story
Our customers love us! Read what they have to say below.
This company has a quick turnaround as well as top notch quality. Great customer service and communication.
I would not get my parts made anywhere else. Small orders are not very costly. Some companies want a high price for small orders.
This is not the first place I have ever ordered my custom made parts from but it will definitely be the last. Great service.
